This blog was created to reflect on my Instructional Technology class at San Francisco State: Integration of Instructional Computing. From the title, technology should be supplemental and should integrate with instruction rather than take over. My posts will provide general ideas of how to integrate technology in any classroom. Enjoy!

Wearable Technology: A model of technology that can be integrated into our lives.
The upcoming release of the iWatch has me thinking about wearable tech and its application in education. Wearable tech has been around for a while. Think about digital watches and Nintendo's Power glove. What makes wearable tech popular in today's market is how it works well with fitness. Wearable tech helps people live a healthy and efficient lifestyle. Having a watch that can tell us how many miles we have run or our vitals can keep us accountable to our health. The biggest highlight about wearable tech compared to mobile tech is that wearable tech adapts to our basic human tendencies. We don't have to adjust ourselves tot the tech, instead the tech adjusts to us. Wearable tech can give us information rapidly and keep us informed wherever we are. Wearable tech is also great for communication. The problem with wearable tech is finding the balance between rapid transfer of information and privacy. Setting for wearable tech need to be placed and enforced to ensure that privacy is not violated. Below is a video of wearable tech being innovated to suit our needs.
